The Shrimati Anjuben R. Patel (PVT) Industrial Training Institute (ITI) was established in 2014. The ITI plays a vital role to trian students with optimum skills to various central, state, public and private industries and technical institutions situated in and around the Vadodara district, Gujarat state and the country. By providing these students affordable vocational training near home, we hope to tap into their full potentials in a constructive and productive manner so that they obtain jobs with better income and thus lift their families from poverty and social issues. We are drawing students from surrounding localities (up to 15 miles away) as the Thuvavi village is located on the major Vadodara – Dabhoi Highway.
In May 2014, the Shree D. K. Patel family offered the necessary funding to start an ITI. The ITI is named after the beloved, deceased wife of Shree Ravindra C. Patel – grandson of Shree D.K. Patel. The ITI offers two curriculums – Fitter and Electrician. The ongoing ITI Phase III Expansion will add 9,000 sq. ft. space to house three additional trades. All trades are NCVT qualified. ITI has a well-qualified staff of six engineers. The ITI is near a Thuvavi Bus stand on the five acre Thuvavi Education Trust school’s campus.
Vocational training courses are offered as needed in various skills – Wireman, Tailoring, Data Entry, etc. for below 10th standard (grade) students and adults with a view to prepare them for a decent earning job or profession. We are also partnering with the local industry in offering needed vocational training courses under the “Corporate Social Responsibility” initiative.
